Respite and Crisis Care
Grace's Place*
Grace's Place Crisis Nursery provides care for children ages birth to 12 years old. Families can access services through Grace's Place due to a host of different situations. As a licensed facility, Grace's Place is able to provide care 24/7 for up to 30 days at a time at no cost to the family. Grace's Place strives to reduce and eliminate child abuse/neglect and to assure that no child goes without their basic needs being met. Some of the situations that Grace's Place helps with frequently, include: parental/sibling illness or death; disruption in shelter due to utilities or rent being unpaid; domestic violence in the home; high level of parental stress due to caring for a child suffering from developmental delays, mood disorders, and/or physical disability; financial stress due to starting a new job without immediate funds for child care; or familial stress due to a single parent home.
Grace's Place is committed to empowering families by assisting them in finding safe and reliable long-term resources. Families accessing crisis and respite care through Grace's Place, will also work closely with a case manager to establish short term and long term goals to assist the family from transitioning out of a crisis situation. As a short-term resource, Grace's Place strives to link families, who are in need, with long term resources the family will be able to rely upon in order to ensure their children remain safe and with their intact families, while also making sure the child's needs are being met.
