Community Rooms Guidelines and Rules
The Community Rooms at the Family Resource Center (FRC) are provided for the use of Franklin County organizations that benefit children and families in a way that aligns with the mission and vision of the Franklin County Community Resource Board (FCCRB). Meeting rooms at the Family Resource Center are designed to meet general, non-commercial, informational, educational, cultural, and civic needs including activities such as discussion groups, panels, lectures, conferences, and seminars.
The FCCRB has established the following rules for its use.

Family Resource Center community rooms policy is determined by the Franklin County Community Resource Board and is subject to review and revision at the discretion of the Board. Exceptions may be made at the discretion of the Executive Director as it deems in the interests of the FCCRB and the community. Appeals to any of these policies may be submitted to the FCCRB in writing. The Family Resource Center is owned and operated by the Franklin County Community Resource Board.

Requests for use of a meeting room may be made online by clicking here. Requests will be honored on a first-come, first-served basis. Priority is given to existing FRC tenants, FCCRB supported organizations, and FCCRB partner organizations.

The FCCRB has established the following rules for its use.
- Use of the Community Rooms are restricted to organizations doing businesses in Franklin County that benefit children and families in a way that aligns with the mission and vision of the FCCRB.
- To be eligible to use a meeting room, any group or organization must be not for profit, (except for tenants of the FRC).
- The FCCRB and Leaseholders of the Family Resource Center have priority for use of the room(s). Secondary priority is given to partner agencies of the FCCRB including contracted agencies and other child and family serving partnering agencies (Children’s Division, Juvenile Office, etc.) as determined by the Executive Director of the FCCRB.
- The room(s) may be used during the following hours: Sunday through Thursday from 7:00 A.M. to 10 P.M.; Friday and Saturday from 7:00 A.M. to 11:00 P.M.
- Attendance at authorized meetings may not exceed the maximum room capacity.
- Agencies and organizations must exercise discretion in using the room, taking care not to disturb other agencies conducting businesses and services within the Family Resource Center.
- All meetings must be held in a way that is open and affirming regardless of ethnicity, race, sex, age, gender identity, and sexual orientation. Discrimination will not be tolerated.
- The Community Rooms must be left in acceptable, un-littered condition. Tables and chairs should be returned to the positions in which they were found. All floors and tables should be cleaned if needed. Supplies for cleaning and a vacuum can be found in the Gymnasium Office.
- There is no charge for use of the community room(s), however, the FCCRB reserves the right to require a security deposit from any organization that has proven that they are unable to tidy the rooms properly after use.
- Notify the FCCRB staff immediately if you observe inappropriate behavior in the community rooms.
- Family Resource Center personnel and volunteers will not move or rearrange furniture or equipment.
- The Family Resource Center and the FCCRB assume no responsibility or liability for accidents or injury.
- The Family Resource Center reserves the right to close due to adverse weather conditions and will attempt to contact the applicant.
- Family Resource Center personnel must have free access to the community room(s) at all times unless confidentiality laws prohibit such access. The Family Resource Center retains the right to monitor all meetings conducted on the premises to ensure compliance with the above regulations. Infringement of any of the regulations here stated shall be grounds for denial of future use of meeting space.
- Children must be supervised by an adult at all times.
- Meeting rooms may not be used for political rallies or campaigns for specific partisan political issues or candidates.
- Except as a designation of location, the name of the Family Resource Center may not be used in any publicity relating to use of the community rooms without express permission from the Executive Director of the Franklin County Community Resource Board.
- Use of the community rooms does not constitute Franklin County Family Resource Center or Franklin County Community Resource Board endorsement of viewpoints expressed by participants in the program. Advertisements or announcements implying such endorsement are not permitted.
- Smoking and vaping is not permitted in the community rooms or any other place within the building. Smoking and vaping is only allowed outside in designated areas.
- Open flames, burning incense, and lit candles are not allowed
